At the weekend I went into town to have an eye-test but opposite the opticians were a few shops that I couldn't help going into. Anndddd I don't think I really have to explain what happened next do I?
So yeah, I bought some makeup! Actually, quite a lot of makeup...
Probably too much makeup. I guess all I can say is ... sorry.
MUA Eye Shadow Palette Heaven and Earth - £4
I'm a really big fan of nude and natural eye shadows and have been looking out for a nice palette like this one for quite a while. I like variety and this palette provides me with it, 12 colours will be plenty!
Every single colour in this palette is gorgeous and for once I know that I am actually going to wear them all, which is quite uncommon because whenever I buy a palette there's always a couple of colours I never touch and just completely avoid. So far my favourite is the golden colour at the top right!
MUA Bronzer Shade 1 - £1
I was in need of a new bronzer as I had run out in January but I couldn't be bothered to go and buy a new one, so when I went into Superdrug I kept an eye out for a nice looking bronzer. This was the best bronzer I found, colour wise AND price wise! I mean £1 for a lovely bronzer? wow!
I just love how MUA keep their prices affordable, it's very handy!
Maybelline Master Shape Eyebrow Pencil - £2.99
I have only recently started to fill in my eyebrows because they are practically invisible due to my blonde hair. I thought that this would be a good brow pencil to start with, it's nothing fancy but it does its job.
A nice touch on this brow pencil is that there is a little 'tutorial' on the side showing you how to correctly fill in your eyebrows, which is useful for a 'beginner' like me.
W7 Blusher the cheek of it - £2.99
I'm not really sure why I bought this blusher, I think it was an impulse buy more than anything. I'm already using an amazing blusher (Mii Cosmetics Blush) but I guess trying out new things is always a good idea.
And yes I am aware at how highly pigmented this blusher is but as long as I don't put heaps of it on or apply it heavy handedly, I won't end up looking like a clown!
I bought this product from a small drugstore and I can't find it online, sorry!
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - £6.99
This was actually one of the products I specifically went into get. I only have a few pumps left of my last foundation so I thought it would be a good idea to buy another one beforehand, so if it runs out unexpectedly I have another bottle ready and waiting!
I use quite a light shade as I am pale but I find that if I use a shade lighter than this, I end up looking like a ghost!
Calvin Klein Delicious Luxury Creme Lipstick Venus - £2.00
I bought this from a small little drugstore whilst in town and I can't find it on sale at any of the big Drugstores, sorry!
Maybelline Baby Lips - £2.99
Pink Punch and Cherry Me |
I'm a massive fan of the Baby Lips collection so I thought that I should buy a few more whilst in boots. There was a 3 for 2 offer on so that's why I purchased two at the same time, if you were wondering, the other product that I bought in the 3 for 2 offer was the eyebrow pencil!
Cherry Me |
Pink Punch |
From top to bottom: Calvin Klein Venus, Baby Lips Cherry Me, Baby Lips Pink Punch |
Bird Pocket Mirror - £1.99
This adorable pocket mirror was in the small drugstore I have previously mentioned. I think it's perfect to have in your coat or bag so you can check your hair and makeup quickly!
The design is just amazing and I love the floral pattern!
I hope I brought you a sprinkle of joy
Love
Claire
