Spring Haul Week - Primark

Hello my sprinkles!

The same day I went shopping in Lincoln I also visited Primark (or Primani as I like to call it) because I was in serious need of some summery tops. Unsurprisingly, by the time I went into Primark, I had spent the most part of my money, but as this is Primani we are talking about, I walked out with a couple of bargains and a smile on my face.

Frilly Socks - £1.50 each

I kind of have a tinsy winsy obsession with frilly socks at the moment and when ever I see a pair I can't help but buy them. I just think that they are so cute, girly and pretty; for the record, they are also really in this season! Luckily, (and unluckily) Primark had a whole two massive racks of just frilly socks. It's safe to say that I was in heaven and could have easily bought each and every frilly sock in the shop, but I restrained myself and settled for two adorable pairs. A dark blue pair with white hearts and a cream frill, and a baby blue pair with a knit pattern, little sparkles and a white frill.

Although I love both pairs, the baby blue socks are definitely my favourite. They are simple and dainty but are also really cute and pretty. I think the socks would also be easier to pair with shoes and outfits as they are not as 'in your face' as the other pair.

Vintage Memories Tank - £4

This was the first top I came across and as soon as I saw it I knew that it was the perfect summer tank. It looks great paired with shorts and bracelets and I think I might invest in a flower crown to go with it too! This tank also looks really nice when baggily tucked into high shorts but unfortunately I deleted the picture, sorry! 

I can't wait until its warm enough to wear this outfit without the tights as I think it would look really pretty, and I might also buy a long knit cardigan so I can still wear this on colder days. The only thing I don't like about this top is that the neck of it is a bit too high for me. It doesn't look weird, it's sort of a preference I have. 

LA California t-shirt - £4

 

I don't usually buy this type of t-shirt as they never really appealed to me, but the look and colour of this one made me change my mind. It has a really pretty design which features the sun setting over palm trees and is overall just a nice summery tee. I'm also not one for rolled up sleeves but with this t-shirt I don't really mind.

It looks really nice paired with high shorts and bracelets but also looks nice with distressed jeans/shorts and light acid wash skinnies!

Daisy Print Collared Top - £10

As soon as I saw this on the rail I fell in love with it and if you've seen any of my Wishlist Wednesdays you'd know why! Plus, everything about this top screams summer; the lack of sleeves, the daisies and the light floaty material. Staying on the subject of the material, this top is so soft and silky and seems to be really good quality; hopefully it is because I want it to last as long as possible!

Even though I do love this top, it was the most expensive top I have ever bought from Primark. Although, £10 isn't exactly expensive compared to other clothing retailers!

As you can see in all three images I have paired this top with a pair of dark high waisted shorts, but it also goes brilliantly with light blue skinny jeans and shorts with tights! This top can also be worn many different ways; it looks good hanging out, fully tucked in and also tucked in baggily so you can swap it up how ever
you like it!

Coca-Cola Hoodie - £10

I look really derpy/creepy in these photos -_-

This hoodie is the comfiest hoodie I have ever bought and I would quite happily live in it if I could. The material on the inside is fleecy and super soft, and isn't very thick so you can wear it on the less sunny spring and summer days. It goes really well with leggings, shorts and other quite tight items of clothing, this is because it is meant to be slightly baggy. Baggy things are always the most comfy!

Plus, Coca-Cola is one of my favourite drinks of all time so I don't mind walking around with their name on my hoodie!

Spring haul week - Lush

Hello my little sprinkles!

I have been doing an awful lot of shopping lately so I decided to do a Spring Haul Week. To put emphasis on the spring aspect of the hauls I thought that I would take the photos outside, but obviously doing that is dependant on the weather so some photos are unfortunately indoors. Also, in some of the hauls this week you will see that I got a little bit over excited, but that's what shopping is all about!

A few days ago I popped into my local (ish) Lush to pick up some products from the new Spring/Easter range - but as this is me we're talking about so I bought (and spent) way more than anticipated! The Lush I visited was the one in Lincoln, which is a very reasonable size and has possibly the friendliest staff ever!

Fizz Tank - £3.50

The first product I picked up was the Fizz Tank! The Fizz Tank is a tube that you store all your lovely lush products in so that they stay fresh and don't go off. The tube is also great for saving space as you can fit approx. 4 products in it - I used to have a whole box in my bathroom for Lush products but now I just have a few of these lined up together.

Plus, not only is it totally adorable, but it's also made 100% of recycled Lush black pots that customers return to store! What's not to love?

Bunch of carrots - £5.95

These super cute bunch of carrots are bubble bars from the Spring/Easter range! I very rarely spend £6 on 1 product but I felt that with these, you got your moneys worth. I mean you get 3 carrots so they are around £2 each - which is reasonable, and you can just about get away with using around a third of one for a bath. Just to prove it, I used 1/3 of a carrot for my bubble bath last night and I got around 5 inches of bubbles!

The scent is also amazing; don't be deceived by their carrot exterior as they smell very tropical. When I smell it I can definitely pick up the scent of lemon mixed in with other fruits, and also an undertone of blackcurrant.

Ickle baby Bot - £1.95

The Ickle Baby Bot, as the name suggests is a bath bomb designed especially for young children. Now, before you start asking why I bought a product aimed at young boys let me just tell you what it's meant to do. The bomb is designed to relax and calm you before bed and also helps to look after soft and delicate skin. 

When I saw it was scented with lavender and camomile I was worried that the bomb would be too over-powering but they managed to make it just the right strength. Also, you have to admit the robot design is pretty adorable!

Golden Egg - £3.50

The golden egg is another of the products from Lush's Easter range; it's a bath bomb and a bath melt combined to make a 'glittering' product. I was a little bit hesitant about buying this as I had heard it leaves your bath in a terrible mess because of all the glitter, and I don't doubt that, but as it smelt so good I just had to have it! The smell is a delicious mix between toffee and honey and truthfully it's a real struggle for me not to eat it!

Here's a picture of what my hand looked like after taking the bath bomb out of the Fizz Tank, holding it for a photograph and then putting it back again. Just so you know, the glitter doesn't come off easily!

Fluffy Egg - £2.95

The fluffy egg is a bath bomb that is scented with my all time favourite lush scent, 'candy fluff', so as soon as I saw it, I put in my basket! Candy fluff is a very sweet smell that reminds me of sweet shops, and in particular two sweets:
- Pear drops
- Candy floss

The creamy candy range also use this scent and the very popular Christmas range, snow fairy, also has a very similar smell.

Coalface - *Freebie*

When I got to the till and paid the very nice guy working there gave me this freebie; it is 40g of coalface, which a gentle soap that can be used on your body and also your face. The look of it isn't appealing and I'm not a very big fan of the smell either. It is very strong and reminds me of liquorish but with an undertone of something else. Although the soap doesn't look or smell nice, it does do a good job. Whenever I choose to use it my face feels as if it has been moisturised, exfoliated and also just generally feels very refreshed.

This is a product I wouldn't of bought myself but I have to admit, even though it isn't the nicest, it is pretty good!

Superdrug Haul

Hello my lovelies!

On Sunday I quickly popped into Superdrug to grab some essentials but ended up spending a lot of time and money there, so I decided that I would show you all what I bought!

Perfection

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

The product that I actually went into buy was the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I know I have raved about this concealer for a long long time but it is seriously the best one - I've tried many others but have always ended up crawling back to my trusty old friend. If you have never tried it before you don't know what you're missing. It has fantastic coverage, lasts all day and you could even use it as a foundation if you wanted to.

I use the shade Fair 01; this is as I am fairly light skinned and any other colour comes out really really orange in comparison to my skin.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

The Rimmel Stay Matte is another of my regular purchases and has a permanent place in my make-up bag. For months this powder has prevented my face from shine, helped to better conceal my pores and has also made my face feel silky smooth! I feel that this is a must have for every girl who wears make-up and is a very affordable for its quality.

The colour I use is 005 silky beige; it adds a tad more colour to my face than my foundation does, and if I am having a good skin day I will wear this powder with just concealer. This is as I find it works just as well but allows my skin to breathe.

 MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow kit


In my last drugstore haul I mentioned that I was new to filling in my eyebrows, but I have gotten used to the whole deal-io now and fill them in on a daily basis. I found my Maybelline Mastershape eyebrow pencil that I used previously wasn't doing a great job and often rubbed off in a matter of hours, so I've been on the look-out for a better product for a while.

I had my eye on this but refrained from buying it the last time I was in Superdrug but this visit the temptation was too much for me and I gave in to my shopaholic tendencies.

There are two main shades that you can use to fill in your eyebrows, a dark brown and a light brown (verging on blonde) and the kit also includes a highlighter (bottom left) that you can sweep under your brow bone to lift your face and also further define your brows. I think that the highlighter could also be used for people with very very light blonde eyebrows but I personally think that it is too light to use. There is also a clear gel included in the set which you apply to your eyebrows after you shade them in so that the colour will set and your perfect looking brows will last as long as possible.

Also included in the set is a handy little pair of mini tweezers so you can quickly remove any unwanted strays, and a double sided angled brush. I would recommend that you use one side for shading and the other side for the gel as when applied on the brush the gel can be a bit sticky!

What I love most about this set is that it is very small so you can quickly pop it in your bag and also has a handy mirror which is a very good size for when you're out and about.

MUA Lipstick

I have always overlooked these lipsticks whenever in Superdrug because I always presumed that they wouldn't be very good quality, I mean for £1 you never really get much do you? So you can understand why I was always unsure, but now that I have purchased one I take all of my previous thoughts and doubts back because frankly, these are amazing!

Firstly the colour I bought (shade 3) was absolutely gorgeous, it's not as intense in colour as shown in these pictures but its still pretty bright.

When I applied this to my lips I found that it doesn't transfer to your lips unless they are completely dry. This made me a bit nervous as I expected it to make my lips feel horrid and dry when applied but lucky it made  my lips feel deliciously moisturised and also super soft! I also just love the sheen it has!

It has the usual lipstick smell and doesn't really taste of anything, thank god. In my experience if a lipstick ever tastes of anything it is in the flavour of ew or gross.

For a lipstick that cost me only £1 I'm very impressed and I will definitely be taking a trip back to Superdrug soon to pick up some more colours!

Another awesome thing about this product is that there is a secret lip-gloss hiding underneath the lipstick, at first I though it was just the colour indicator that most lipsticks have but then I got curious and twisted it. 

AND LOW AND BEHOLD THERE WAS A SMALL POT OF LIP-GLOSS!

For me that alone makes it worth at least double the price!

Baby Lips Peach Kiss


Yet again a Baby Lips is featured on my blog, Surprise surprise!

If you didn't already know, but I'm sure you do, I'm a hardcore baby lips addict. I was going to buy another one too but I found I had sadly run out of money. Where-ever I go I take one or two baby lips with me, be it school, shopping or even when I go to see my horse!

The Baby Lips I chose to buy this time was Peach Kiss, which many of my friends have constantly raved about and insisted I bought. I usually love peach flavoured balms and as all the other baby lips I own taste gorgeous I expected big things from this!

The purchase of this lip balm meant that I now own every flavoured baby lips (Minty Fresh, Pink Punch, Cherry Me and Peach Kiss) but I'm still going for the whole set!

Peach kiss has a lovely light peachy colour which verges on nude and also has a very slight shimmer - and if you didn't already know I'm a sucker for shimmer! Believe it or not it tastes like a lovely and sweet peach and has quickly become my joint favourite with pink punch!

The next Baby Lips I'm going to buy is definitely the Baby Lips Balm Repair as its SPF 20 and will better protect my lips on those *hopefully* hot and sunny summer days!


Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm - Coquette


I have been very excited about trying out the Revlon ColorBurst range and it seems lots of other people were too; when I went into store they were almost completely out! The two I have been interested in trying ever since they were launched were Vivacious and Coquette but Vivacious was one of the balms that were sold out so I had to buy Coquette!

The packaging its in really reminds me of those Jumbo Pencils that you used to get in Primary School and is overall very pretty. Its made of a sort of mirrored plastic that is supposed to mimic the colour of the balm inside.

What's great about this product is that there is no need to sharpen it when it gets low because the base twists to reveal more of it!

Coquette is a medium, verging on hot, pink that suits my skin tone very well, but as it is a medium pink I believe it would suit most skin tones. The photos I took here don't really do Coquette justice so I will have to make sure I do a in depth review with some pretty pictures of it so I show it in the best light - literally. The balm also has very small shimmery silver bits in it, and like I said previously, if it shimmers Claire loves!

The balm leaves a lovely glossy finish but the shimmer isn't really that noticeable :( Yet I can't complain as the balm is still amazing, even if it isn't that shimmery. It is very moisturising, softening and also feels virtually weightless on your lips. It has a very light peppermint smell and taste but it isn't overpowering. 

I love the pencil-like form of the tip as it makes applying the balm very quick, accurate and easy. The only real down side about this balm is the price, it cost me £7.99, but in all fairness, you do get what you pay for!

Superdrug Face Masks

I love putting on a face mask and relaxing after a long week at school or otherwise, so I'm always looking out for a bargain, and these masks were one! They were 99p each but there was a  4 for 3 offer on so I naturally bought 4. Those four were:

I'm really looking forward to using these and if I like them I'm definitely going to buy more! I am most looking forward to the Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask as I love chocolate and I love facemasks so a combination of the two is a dream come true for me!

Cute Claire's Haul!

Hello my lovelies!

I don't really go into Claire's very often but seeing as I share its name I decided to have a quick pop in and have a look around.This resulted in me buying a few super cute little pieces of jewellery!

Oh and a quick note before we get started; all these items were on sale! The necklace and bracelet were 2 for 1 and the earrings were 3 for 2! So after you've read the post go over to the Claire's website and see what bargains you can grab!

Purple Lolly Necklace - £2.50
The first piece of jewellery that caught my eye was this absolutely adorable lolly necklace! I just thought it was so cute and I just had to buy it!

And if you don't think that this necklace is super cute, I don't know what's wrong with you! I mean, just look at it! It's smiling!

All Things Sweet Charm bracelet - £2.50

This was the second product that caught my eye, and can you guess why it did? Because it has food on it of course! And like most people I love food, a lot. So I bought it! I mean what better way to show my love for food than get a bracelet with oreos, doughnuts, sweets and cake on it?

6 Pack of Sweet Owl and Key Studs - £6.00
I bought these because I don't have many pretty cute girly earrings and these were just way too cute to pass up on!

My favourite pair to wear out of this pack is the pair of gold keys but I do love all the others too! Sometimes I will wear a key on one ear and a lock on the other, because I'm such an indie child (but mainly because they look really cute together!)

I thought that these were quite cute but I mainly got them because they are 3 for 2. Otherwise I don't think I would have bothered purchasing them.

However I do like the mustaches! 

6 Pack of Travel Studs - £6.00

These earrings are quite possibly my favourite buy! But unfortunately I can't find them anywhere on the website for you all to purchase, sorry!

As you can see these look cute but also quite fancy, and my personal favourite would have to be the Eiffel Tower earrings because they are so quaint and girly! Although the cameras would come a close second.

Side note: If you are wondering what happened to the other aeroplane, my sister 'borrowed' it, but now she has ran off back to university with it. Grr!
