Quick Tip Tuesday - Fixing Chipped Nails

Hello my lovelies!

Do you ever have the problem of painting your nails beautifully only to find that they have become chipped the next day? Because I know I do! It takes way too much effort to remove the polish and repaint them, and painting over the chip just makes your nails look horrible; so here is a quick no-effort way of 'curing' chipped nails!

All you need is a glitter polish/topcoat of your choice and 2 minutes of time. You need to use the glitter top coat on the end of your nails to cover up the chip and that's all you need to do! I suggest you use a topcoat with large-ish size glitter flakes as I find that it conceals the chips much better and also takes attention away from any imperfections that you might have on your base.

My two favourite glitter topcoats to use for this technique are the Essie Nail Polish Luxe Effect Jazzy Jubiliant and the Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in the colour Drops of Jade.

Oh, before I go I'd just like to apologise for not posting in ages! I currently have a German exchange student staying with me so I have been spending lots of time with her. We went shopping on Monday so expect a 'haul week' next week!

  1. Great tip! I do this sometimes too, and it really works. I have the Maybelline Drops of Jade and really like it. xoxo Lauren
